Plan to join us in Mid September 2012 as Ground School, a 9 month study of the Westminster Confession of Faith, begins anew. The Westminster Confession of Faith stands as a foundational summary of Reformed theology and as the bedrock for our denomination’s understanding of what the Scriptures principally teach. Join us again or for the first time and bring your friends and family. Your lunch table discussion afterwards will not be lacking!
Dear Officer Candidates,
Please be advised that review for your exam on the Westminster Confession of Faith will take place on Sunday, May 9, 11:00 am in Oak Law West OR the following Wednesday, May 12 at 6:45 pm at which time you will be given your take home (closed book, internet, iphone, etc) exam. If you pick up your exam on Sunday, May 9, you must return it by the following Sunday. If you pick up your exam on Wednesday, May 12, you must return it by the following Wednesday.
If for some reason you did not receive the 8 word documents containing the study guide for the exam, please email Amy at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will gladly send them to you.

There will be no class on Wednesday, 3/31 (Holy Week) or Sunday, 4/4 (Easter Sun).
Ground School returns on Wednesday, 4/7 for the second teaching of “On Sabbath”.
Sunday morning, 4/11, puts us back on the normal schedule with Chapters 22 and 23, “Of Lawful Oaths and Vows” and “Of the Civil Magistrate”.
Ground School will not be held on Wed, Feb 10. The lesson from Sunday, Feb 7 (Ch. 15, On Repentance) will be posted online for those who cannot make it to the Sunday morning class.
We’re back in session this Sunday, Jan. 10, at 11am to consider what it means to be effectually called by God. You may remember us speaking of the “Ordo Salutis”–the “order of salvation”–in previous weeks. Though salvation is decreed before the foundations of the earth, it’s actual application to us begins with His call of us by His Spirit.
So we’ll try to understand what the nature of the call is and what effect it is designed to have.
For some the calling dawns more gradually; for others there’s a moment of intense realization of the goodness of Christ.
Hope to see you Sunday, or Wednesday as the case may be. (To our Wednesday night attenders, if you haven’t already, have a listen to the lesson on Ch. IX–free will–before coming on Wednesday the 13th. The audio is in the preceding blog post.)
